Alzheimer's Patient
Alzheimer's Patient
I stand in familiar places,
yet I stand not to know
I see familiar faces
I feel like I recognize yet I don't know.
It started when she died,
now I fail to remember her looks
how could I even forget my bride
all I can remember is through her books.
My brain full of life went degraded,
my memories have now faded
all questions are done to provoke
but yet answers can never be evoke.
All memories have flown away,
only my bride's memories have stayed the same way
the life in me is creeping away
after all Alzheimer's has it's way.
